We are pleased to announce the Barodiner Boi Mela – Litfest – 2023, organized under the esteemed banner of the Salt Lake FE Block Residents` Association. The fair will take place at the FE Block Community Centre from 22nd December 2023 (Friday) to 25th December 2023 (Monday) as per the following details:-
1. Programmes for 22nd December 2023 (timing: 4.00 pm to 8.30 pm)
i) Welcome song by our residents.
ii) Fair will be inaugurated by Shri Sudhir Dutta, renowned Ananda Puraskar awardee poet, at 4.00 pm.
iii) Shri Syed Kausar Jamal, famous writer, linguist and Ex-Akashbani (All India Radio) Shantiniketan Station In-charge will grace the occasion as Guests of Honour.
iv) Unveiling programmes of Book/Magazine from various publishers who are participating in the Book Fair.
v) Shruti-Natak, Swarachito Kavita Path by eminent poets.
2) Programmes for 23rd December 2023 (timing: 3.30 pm to 8.30 pm)
i) Anti-Superstition Show by Paschim Banga Vigyan Mancha to promote scientific temperament.
ii) Audio visual "Quiz on Kolkata”. Attractive prizes will be given.
3) Programmes for 24th December 2023 (timing: 3.30 pm to 8.30 pm)
i) Discussion on contemporary topic.
ii) Magic Show by Shri B.N. Ghosh, eminent magician.
4) Programmes for 25th December 2023 (timing: 3.30 pm to 8.30 pm)
i) Entertaining cultural program by a famous band group “Aakhar”.
Note: Cultural and other amusement programmes will be held between 5.00 pm to 8.00 pm on an open air mancha within the FE Block Community Centre Arena.
The Community Centre will house 11 book stalls and 4 table spaces dedicated to little magazines/Hand Made Traditional Art & Craft. Outside the Community Hall, four to five (4-5) merchandise stalls will be there where you can treat yourself to delicious food.
Entry to the book fair is free of cost. Residents of Salt Lake and neighbouring areas are cordially invited to join us to make the Book Fair a grand success. You can buy your favourite books/magazines at discounted prices and also immerse yourself in the literary environment and indulge in the sumptuous food offerings and enjoy the festivities this winter season.
