Dear Residents,

We are pleased to announce a Tree Plantation Program scheduled for Saturday, July 13, 2024, in commemoration of World Environment Day. This initiative is organized in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Calcutta Millennium. The event promises a dual focus – Green Plantation and Sit & Draw programs, as per the following schedule:

1. Green Plantation Program: The program will feature eminent environmental personalities and eminent members of our Block:

• 4:00 PM: Arrival of Guests
• 4:10 PM: Felicitation of Guests and Speakers
• 4:30 PM: Welcome Address by President, SLFEBRA
• 4:35 PM: Address by Guest Speakers on the Importance of Awareness on Protection of Planet Earth
• 5:30 PM: Sapling Plantation at Community Centre Park
• 6:30 PM: Vote of Thanks by Secretary, SLFEBRA

2. Sit and Draw Competition: The children of our block from the age group 4 to 16 will participate:

• Venue: Community Centre, 1st Floor
• 4:00 PM: Arrival of Participants (Ground Floor)
• 4:15 PM: Registration
• Subjects for Competition:
• Group A (Ages 4 to 7 years): Draw as you like
• Group B (Ages 8 to 11 years): Global Warming/Drought
• Group C (Ages 12 to 16 years): Cyclone/Heat Wave
• Open Event - Poster Competition (All age groups):
• Prevent Plastic Pollution
• Prevent Soil Erosion
• Save the Forest
• There is no Planet B
• Participant Information: Participants shall submit the following information as per the attached format:
• Name
• Parent’s Name
• Age (with documentary evidence)
• Address
• Phone Number
• Passport Size Photograph

• Rules:
• Each participant should bring their own drawing board, pencils, erasers, and other drawing accessories.
• Art paper will be provided to all participants.
• Duration of the competition is 1 hour and 15 minutes.
• Name, age, group, and address should be indicated on the reverse side of the artwork.
• Copying from any photo/object/other participants is not allowed and will result in disqualification.
• The decision of the judges shall be final and binding on all participants.
• There will be no entry fee for these contests.
• Refreshments and water will be provided.
• The results of the competition will be declared at the end of the program, and prizes will be distributed on the morning of August 15, 2024. Token gifts will be presented to all participants.
