Dear Residents,
Considering the gravity of the situation following COVID outbreak, this year we have to plan differently in organizing Sharadutsav and Durga Puja. We would request you to follow the standard operating process to be followed strictly adhering to the Government guidelines. We have taken approval from you in Special General Meeting, held on 23rd August` 2020 and Advisory Committee meeting held on 30th September` 2020 on organizing Durga Puja this time within pandemic situation and Government also approved the festival to happen, of course, maintaining the relevant SOPs. We have also taken guidelines from the police meetings. Following SOPs are to be adhered to:
1. Generally we will not allow outsiders of the Block to enter inside pandal area. Special Entry Pass will be given to the residents for entry to pandal area and they will have access through East side Main gate only. There will be special barricade for outsiders to enter within the pandal area..
2. Nobody will be allowed to move into the community center during puja.
3. Residents are requested to offer prayer (Anjali) staying from respective residence. We will arrange for broadcasting through microphone and also through YouTube live. It is preferred not to come physically at pandal to offer Anjali.
4. No sweet and other prasad will be entertained except that of uncut fruit. Sari will be deposited in one dedicated box.
5. Only, 38 residents will be allowed to enter in Pandal area at a time. Security will stop further entry. Residents will have to use hand sanitizer, mask and will go through thermal scan during entry to pandal area. Everybody needs to maintain physical distance of 6 ft. Within the pandal, viewers will stand on the floor marked areas.
Periodic hand sanitization is a must for the viewers.
6. No cultural event will be held physically. Cultural programme will be streamed through digital platform.

7. No sovayatra will be organized for Bisarjan. There will be no Sindur Khela on Dashami.
8. We are not organizing community lunch on puja days.
9. Preferably Residents having age more than 65 years and children below 10 years age are advised not to enter the pandal area. We will try to stream main puja functions like Anjaii, Arati, Sandhipuja etc. through digital platform YouTube live. Residents having any sickness are advised not to attend the puja pandal.
10. It is extremely important to maintain the respiratory discipline. Use adequate covering of mouth during sneezing/cough and no spitting in the pandal area is allowed.
11. It is advised that no viewers/residents should stay in the pandal area for prolonged period and as such, there will be no other facilities available like stall, etc. in the puja area.
12. This year Pandal has been made larger and barricade will be there in front of Puja stage to prevent residents to enter in puja area. Pandal, Puja place and surrounding area will be sanitized frequently from Panchami to Dashami. There will be display of do`s and don`ts which have to be adhered to strictly.
You are requested to maintain the above discipline for the interest of the residents of our Block and the society at large. While we will enjoy the festival with devotion but this year, to combat the situation of COVID outbreak, it is preferred to stay at our own residences to avoid any further deterioration and health hazards in future to come. We hope that Goddess Durga will bless us to overcome this pandemic situation in near future.
